“Call to Conversion”

The readings for Ash Wednesday tell us in the words of Jesus, how we are to deny ourselves and take up His cause. We are to fast, pray and give alms. For most Catholics, including the students of St. Adalbert Catholic School, these three Lenten activities are year round activities. Our students pray daily both in school and with their families at home. Our students willingly give up time and talent in service to the church and to the community. Out students and their parents are generous to both the parish and to community non-profit organizations. During Lent, however, these three activities take on a special meaning for students and their families. We invite all parishioners to join us in daily prayers, fasting and almsgiving this Lenten Season.
